Summary
Your feed selections and preferences are stored on your device (cookies/local storage). We keep minimal server logs to operate, monitor performance, and protect the service.
Who We Are (Data Controller)

What We Store on Your Device
We store only what’s needed for functionality on your device (e.g., selected feeds, feed list, categories, sidebar state, and a limited preferences object). Clearing your browser’s site data removes these.
Server Logs
We keep standard web logs (IP address, user agent, requested path, timestamp, error info) to operate the service, debug reliability, and mitigate abuse (e.g., rate-limiting, blocking scrapers/bots). Retention: 24 hours. We don’t build user profiles from logs, and we don’t sell or rent data.
Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR/UK-GDPR)
- Operations & Security (server logs): Legitimate interests in running a reliable, secure service.
- Essential preferences (cookies/storage): Legitimate interests in providing the features you select (e.g., saved feeds/categories).
- Basic, aggregate analytics: Legitimate interests in measuring performance and improving the site without profiling.
- Affiliate monetization: If we add non-essential on-site technologies later, we will rely on consent where required before loading them.
- Compliance: We may process limited data to comply with legal obligations.
Affiliate & Tracking Technologies
We fund the service with third-party affiliates. Affiliate partners may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to measure impressions, prevent fraud, cap frequency, and (where supported) personalize marketing.
- Your feed sources stay private on this page. We load marketing code only in an isolated frame that cannot access our app state, cookies, or local storage, and we do not send affiliate partners your selected feeds or reading history.
- Partner processing happens in the frame or after you click. When you interact with affiliates or visit partner sites, they process data under their own policies.
- We label affiliate links as “Affiliate.”
Consent & Choices
Where required (EU/UK), we obtain consent via an on-site banner. Until consent, we request non-personalized/contextual affiliates where supported. You can manage your affiliate choices any time via Manage Privacy Choices from Settings.
For U.S. state privacy laws, you can use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to opt out of cross-context behavioral marketing. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) where applicable.
Partners
We work with one or more affiliate/measurement vendors. Each partner processes data under its own policy. See the current list on the About page; we keep it updated.
Service Providers (Processors)
We use third-party providers (e.g., hosting) to operate this service. These processors act under our instructions and are bound by data protection terms. We maintain Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) where applicable. See the current providers on the About page.
Links, Images, and Research Shortcuts
IncogFeedo links out to publishers and research sites (e.g., Google AI search mode, Reddit, Wikipedia). Those sites have their own policies; visiting them may share your referrer and user-agent by browser. Some publishers block hotlinking; we respect that and don’t proxy blocked images.
Security
We use HTTPS and reasonable technical measures (principle of least privilege; access restricted to operations). No method is 100% secure.
International Transfers
Our service and some providers may be located outside your country (e.g., the United States). When data is transferred from the EU/UK to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards provided by our processors.
Data Retention
- On your device: until you clear site data or remove specific keys.
- Server logs: retained only as long as needed for operations/abuse prevention (24 hours).
- Affiliate tech: retention is determined by each partner; see the About page.
Your Rights (EU/UK)
Where applicable law provides, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and to object to certain processing (including where we rely on legitimate interests). You also have the right to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.

Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control
For affiliate partners, we surface applicable signals (e.g., GPC) through our consent flow where supported.
International Visitors & Rights
We do not create user accounts or profiles. To the extent applicable laws provide rights, you can exercise them by clearing local data and contacting us about limited log records (within the retention window). For partner data, see each partner’s policy on the About page.
Children & Jurisdiction
Not directed to children under 13. You’re responsible for complying with laws where you are located.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we’ll revise the effective date above and publish the updated version at this URL.
